The following verbs begin with an H aspiré - an aspirated H. Normally, pronouns contract with verbs that begin with an H, such as je, me, etc.

When the verb begins with an H aspiré, you do not contract the pronoun.

Eg. 1)

Elle m'harcèle

Elle me harcèle

She is harassing me

Eg. 2)

Ils s'hurlent

Ils se hurlent

They are yelling at each other

Also, when the verb begins with an H aspiré, you do not liaise final consonants of preceding words. This will often result in an awkward pause, known as a glottal stop.
