When to use
The imperative present tense in French is used to express a command, just like in English. Its English equivalent is as follows:
Imperative present tense
The tense that is a command. It's composed as the infinitive minus the 'to'. The infinitive of the verb is plain form of the verb that is found in a dictionary.
Eg. Go to bed!
Examples of use

-m'en, j'ai vraiment besoin de savoir !
me about it, I really need to know!

How to conjugate
Conjugate the verb as a regular indicative present tense verb, except for -er verbs where you need to drop the final 's' from the tu form. Read more about the 's' in the Notable points.

The tu form's 's' with -er verbs
In the imperative form, the only difference in conjugation to the indicative present tense is that the final 's' of the tu form with -er verbs is dropped. This 's' is readded if the conjugation is hypenated with an y or an en. In the following example, the 's' is removed:
-moi plus lentement !
And, in the next example, the 's' is readded to keep the flow of speech:
Parles-en, je veux savoir !
Speak about it, I want to know!
